Safety footwear – or is it?

Posted by howsafe | Company News,New Products | Monday 20 June 2011 2:57 pm

For years safety footwear manufacturers have been trying to make their footwear look not like safety footwear! Up until recent years they have “in the main” failed with rather bulbous toecaps being the obvious give away. However when looking at some of the styles that Cofra offer the line between high street styles and safety footwear begins to blur.

As we all know if any item of personal protection equipment looks and feels good to wear it is much more likely to be accepted into the workplace.  This is why Cofra has spent millions in designing safety footwear that you will want to wear.

Many Cofra styles use low profile safety toecaps, frequently these are made from lightweight aluminium or composite materials to further increase comfort levels. To add greater comfort all Cofra styles incorporate a good quality comfort footbed with many offering full breathable linings as standard.

Howsafe are very excited about the new footwear range – Clark Howe (MD) says “we see the new range as a major step forwards in safety footwear supply” and goes onto say “the feedback on the new range so far has been wonderful, you cannot fail but to be impressed”

For a copy of your brand new safety footwear chart please call Tel (01733) 560669.

Do you think these styles look  like safety footwear?

Cotton Prices Hits Laundry Services

Posted by howsafe | Company News | Wednesday 1 June 2011 10:34 am

“There is little doubt that the ever-rising price of cotton has reached crisis proportions. Prices change almost daily and the impact on the textile rental sector is both immediate and long lasting.

Soaring prices were evident throughout 2010 and supply shortages due to factors such as flooding in the main production areas, changes in land use from cotton to agriculture and increased demand from China have aggravated the situation.”
