Extreme anti-slip safety footwear
June 2010

Slips, trips and falls are the biggest single cause of workplace accidents. Howsafe have launched a brand new range of 12 safety footwear styles that have been tested to a much higher standard. These styles have passed two tough slip resistant tests - one with ceramic tile and detergent the other with steel and glycerol. Only footwear that passes both of these test gets awarded the SRC slip resistant rating.

There is always something going on at Howsafe. Practical Classics a locally produced magazine specialising in affordable classic cars have done two full product reviews on a range of safety footwear and work trousers. We are delighted to say that all Howsafe featured products scored well and many winning "best buy" and "recommended" awards. With over 32 years under our belt it is inevitable that we will have a good collection of discontinued lines and unwanted samples. Howsafe have now dedicated one room within our store to display many of these products. Huge savings come as standard - many items have up to 50% OFF the standard trade price.

Clocks change Sunday the 25th of October

The European Union as a whole uses summer (or daylight saving) time from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October. The change between the two takes place at 01.00 GMT.

In October, just when you get used to it getting dark at around 5.30-6.00pm we change our clocks from following British Summer Time (BST) back to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This means it will be dark an hour earlier, and don't we all notice it! It seems as though suddenly the nights are substantially longer.

Howsafe have prepared for the changes by introducing some exciting new products into it's hi-viz range and for the colder weather some new winter coats and fleeces from Regatta - details will be mailed out shortly to our existing trade customers
