Howsafe PPE Bank helps communities fight COVID-19

On the 9th of April Howsafe launched the “PPE Bank” - with the aim, to recirculate your unwanted personal protection equipment to Local Heroes during the Covid-19 outbreak.

It's all over the news that there is a national shortage of PPE – what there is, is quite rightly going direct to the NHS. However, what about all the care homes, the thousands of volunteers and other healthcare organisations that are also in need – many are really struggling to get the PPE they need!

That's why Howsafe are looking for your donations – together we can do our bit and get more Local Heroes into the correct PPE – this will help reduce the spread of the virus and ultimately save lives.

Using our existing storage and distribution setup, Howsafe plan to distribute your donated products totally free of charge to those local organisations and volunteers most in need.

What are we looking for?

  • Disposable gloves (not latex)
  • Reusable or disposable respirators (P2 or P3)
  • Safety goggles, spectacles & visors
  • Soaps & sanitisers
  • Disposable suits, sleeves, aprons & overshoes

Products obviously need to be new, in their original packaging or unused in the case of soaps & sanitisers.

If you have any products, please send them to:

PPE Bank Howsafe Ltd
18-20 Challenger Way
Edgerley Business Park
Peterborough PE1 5EX

If you are not sure on suitability please call us to discuss before sending your items. If you have a large volume of product and are within 25 miles of Peterborough we may be able to pick up the products using our own transport.

To kick things off Howsafe have made a healthy donation of assorted PPE including gloves, disposable suits and eyewear and we expect to make our first deliveries mid April.

Our promise is that your products, will be gifted to local heroes, at our cost - your donations, no matter how big or small will be warmly welcomed & hugely appreciated by the recipients.

Your unwanted PPE could be saving lives - can you help?
